Do we need our own passport database?
No. Passport data is held decentrally. The central registry stores identifiers and where to find the data — not the data itself.
Who collects data from our suppliers?
You do, through the system. Suppliers fill their own scoped view; you see what is outstanding and who owes it.
Can suppliers keep their source data?
Yes. Only the required dataset becomes passport content. A full bill of materials does not have to move for a passport to be complete.
Who registers the passport?
You do — registration is restricted to verified operators, which we are not. We prepare and validate the submission file; you file it.

A supplier changed the specification. Now what?
The passport gains a version. The previous state stays retrievable by date, so "what did we declare in March" has an answer years later.
Can one platform hold many factories?
Yes — multiple suppliers and sites under one operator account, with each supplier scoped to their own products.
What if our provider disappears?
A second holder keeps the archive answering, and signing keys are published so sealed passports verify without us. Identifiers stay portable.
Can the passport also fight counterfeits?
Yes, on the same identity — if you choose a cryptographic carrier. That is a carrier decision, not a second system.

We do not certify products, sign declarations on your behalf, or represent you before an authority. We hold the data, control disclosure, keep the history, and produce the evidence.
We also do not touch the commercial value of your data: no benchmarking, no resale, no model training. Storage, disclosure, evidence — nothing else.
