The hard part is
getting the data.
Not entering it. Most of what a passport needs sits with someone who has never been asked for it.
We start by telling you what is missing.
Every passport carries a live completeness figure, split by who has to supply the answer.
| Cathode active material composition | cell supplier |
| Round-trip efficiency at 50% cycle life | test laboratory |
| Recycled cobalt / lithium / nickel share | not required until 2033 |
| State of health, per unit | from the battery, after sale |
Suppressed points stay visible: hidden today, required on a known future date.
Applicability is resolved per product category and per date — a point that is mandatory for one battery type can be explicitly not-to-be-filled for another, and several only switch on years from now.
That distinction is the difference between a list your team can close and a number that never reaches 100%. Telemetry fields are never counted against a passport that has not shipped yet.
How this works for batteries →Entered once. Shared by the batch.
Batch-level facts are typed once; per-unit values attach to individual items.
Batteries
Chemistry, capacity, materials, footprint, due diligence, per-unit health.
Textiles & apparel
Fibre composition, footprint, care, repair, recycling route.
Footwear & leather
Material provenance, place of manufacture, recycled content, durability.
Furniture
Wood origin, substances, disassembly instructions, recycling path.
Electronics
Components, support period, spare parts, repairability, energy class.
Steel & materials
Composition reports, emissions declaration, certificates, batch traceability.
Categories follow the EU's own sequencing; new field sets are added as each product group is settled.
Six languages, one data set.
Translating the interface is trivial. Translating the passport content is the requirement.
Field values carry translations alongside the source text, so a German inspector and a Spanish recycler read the same passport in their own language. Missing a translation falls back to the original rather than showing a gap.
Translations sit beside the source, never overwrite it — the signed content stays exactly what was signed. A passport already sealed can still gain a language.
Consumer pages arrive with all languages in place, switchable without a second request.
Four ways in. Five ways out.
In
Console entry · supplier submission · spreadsheet import for per-unit values · direct feed from a battery management system.
Out
Consumer page · structured object over the machine interface · PDF for audit files · print artwork · registry submission file.
