It proves
This exact content existed at this moment, was sealed by this key, and has not been edited since. Change one character and the fingerprint stops matching — publicly, permanently.
It does not prove
That the product complies with anything, or that the figures are true. Those are the operator's declaration. We will not let a badge on a scan page imply otherwise.
Our status badge says signed and anchored — never "compliant". It reads weaker and is in fact stronger: anyone can print the word compliant, and nobody can fake a public transaction that a reader can open and check.
You do not have to trust us.
Signing keys are published, so any third party can verify a sealed passport without our cooperation — including after a dispute, and including against us.
Anchors are on a public chain, not a private ledger we control. The transaction is linked from the passport itself; opening it needs no account and no permission from anyone.
